YaBB-Friendly Website Hosts and Other Tips - Webhost for a tiny YaBB forum
I have a member who runs his own YaBB forum on a VPS I set up for his organization. He is so happy with it, he is now looking to set up a forum for the condominium association he is in charge of.
We are talking about maybe 20 members, and mostly posting rules, having announcements, and a 'problem reporting' board. Beyond that - nada.
I've always had my own servers, so I have little experience in shallow waters. I DO know to avoid GoDadddy and 1&1, but beyond that I don't know a lot about shared hosting providers.
I think I have heard a fair number of YaBBer's being happy with HostGator (and they have some looow prices).
Any other good ideas in the sub $10/month space???

Talk It Up! - a few questions
hello.
My site provider (linux) hosts possibilities to use YABB v 2.3.1 board.
Am I, as as a subscriber of the site, able to update the YABB to 2.5?
I cant find the update file for v2.5 on the YABB homesite.
After downloading and reading quickinstall, the doc says when updating from 2.3 and above, I have to read a doc that isnt supplied in the zip file downloaded.
(I did click on the download link for the upgrade file).
Oh well, sorry for the vague and simple question.

YaBB-Friendly Website Hosts and Other Tips - Password Retrieval
YaBB never sends my password when I lose it. I check my spam, the password option says sent, no password email as of yet. I had to shut down boards because of this. YaBB Please fix the password retrieval option.
